We visited Joshua’s cabin as part of a two-week multi-city vacation in Canada. We enjoyed our stay and loved that the lake was just feet from the cottage! We were impressed with the quality of the log cabin and would definitely recommend it to others. They were so thoughtful to provide a high chair and a pack and play for our 11-month-old son. He absolutely loved playing in the sand too. The place was very clean. It was very peaceful and much needed!

Stayed at the Green Maple cottage with the family. Beautiful spot right on the water. Josh was a great host and provided all of the amenities you would need for a cottage adventure. The kayaks were a great hit with us and the kids! Also great fishing! Provincial park is also close by and some great hiking trails too.

We had such a wonderful stay here! Joshua was incredibly responsive and accommodating, which made the whole experience seamless from start to finish. The location is absolutely perfect — right on a quiet lake surrounded by beautiful scenery. We loved having direct lake access for kayaking and canoeing, and the private sandy beach was such a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the water. The locals were also very friendly and welcoming, which made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

What a gem! This place was just what we needed for a weekend away — right by the lake, very peaceful, lots of nature. Having the private beach just for ourselves was the cherry on top. The cottage is small but packed with everything you need. My 3-year-old had the best time exploring and enjoying the lake experience. Will be going back for sure!

The Black Bear log cabin with a private sandy beach was just what we were looking for to enjoy a relaxing weekend away! The cabin was great — comfortable beds, everything you need in the kitchen, and clean throughout. The roofed deck is a great place to watch the sunset over the lake. Our host, Joshua, was friendly, helpful, and always responded quickly. I highly recommend this property for your next getaway!

We had a wonderful time at the Green Maple! The kids loved to play on the beach, having kayaks free to use was a really nice way to discover the lake, and it was so much fun making a BBQ/eating outside and watching the beautiful sunsets. It was perfect for a family trip, but we’d like to go back just the two of us someday!

Josh is an outstanding host and him, his wife and father are all very good people — we’ll definitely continue choosing the Luksa Collective for our vacation rentals. The private beach area that Josh and his father created in front of the cabin was ideal for our family — perfect for the kids to swim safely, and we were even able to beach our aluminum fishing boat with ease. While the electric incinerating toilet takes a bit of getting used to and may not be for everyone, Josh thoughtfully provides a clean and well-maintained outhouse on the property as an alternative. His attention to detail and hospitality truly make all of the Luksa Collective properties special places to stay.

We will absolutely be back! We went with our two girls (4 & 2) and our senior golden retriever. The shallow water and sandy beach were perfect for both the kids and dog. The cottage itself is very clean and had everything we needed for our getaway. Joshua was very responsive and kind… we will be booking for longer next time!

My family and I had a great time at this well-built cottage. Kids loved the loft area. The sandy beach was great for playing in and we went out on the kayaks a few times every day.

This place is awesome! Location is beautiful and the building is spotless and clean. Great, enjoyable stay. Some of the best beachfront and swimming I’ve ever had on a lake. Host was fantastic as well!

10/10. Looks better than the pics and an idyllic location with beautiful, unobstructed lake views and a private sand beach steps from the deck. Second time at this property and will come again. 10/10 property and the owner is reasonable, accommodating, and easy to deal with.

Beautiful place. Waterfront was great for the kids. Nice and quiet area. Local stores had everything we needed. Good fishing in the immediate area. Would recommend!!!

Truly a little slice of paradise! This was a beautiful cabin by the water that will leave some wonderful core memories for our kids. The view is 10/10, the cabin was clean, and extremely photogenic. The general store was a 5-minute walk that supplied all our needs for the weekend. We will be returning again and recommending this cabin to our friends.

First off, Joshua as a host is fantastic! Right from the start he was very quick to respond, very friendly, and answered our questions perfectly, which truly helped us prepare for a great trip. He also made sure to prioritize our safety with his tips, which we really appreciated. Throughout the trip he was also extremely helpful with additional questions we had. The location is gorgeous and convenient — Gerry’s General Store and the water spring are 1–2 minutes away by car. Commanda Lake is beautiful! The cottage was very well stocked with everything we needed for a great trip — cutlery, cups, plates, pots. Firewood and kindling were readily available. He stocked us well with drinkable water while the pipes were off. The cottage was spotless and beautiful! The Incinolet was something new to me but was very easy to use with Joshua’s instructions. All in all, we had a great trip thanks to Joshua and his well-stocked, beautifully located cottage! Will come back!!

This is a charming cabin on a lovely beachfront property. The property matches the photos, so you get exactly what you see from the listing. The area is very quiet and calming — a perfect getaway from the city. Joshua is a great host. He communicated with us in a very timely manner and was always super helpful. We would absolutely return.

We had an amazing stay at Red Moose cottage. It’s a great place for a cozy weekend getaway. The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean. We were even able to ice fish in front of the cottage. I would highly recommend Joshua as a host.

Always looking to escape the craziness of the city and this was one of the best stays I’ve had so far. It was remote and surrounded by some of the most beautiful lakes and forests I’ve seen. The sunsets and sunrises were unreal and the cabin itself was amazing - cozy and felt like home. My girlfriend and I are already planning our next stay. Stay at Red Moose… I promise you’ll fall in love with it.

Staying at the Red Moose cabin was amazing! It was super cozy and comfortable inside the cabin, especially whenever we had the wood stove burning. The view of the sunrise and sunset by the lake was second to none. Everything you needed was equipped at the cabin, and the fresh spring water was especially great. Will definitely be coming back for a summer trip with friends in the future.

This was a great experience. Everything was exactly as described and matched the photographs. The cottage was very clean and the location was great. The cottage is right on a secluded beach in a cove which made for very enjoyable water/swimming time. Restoule Provincial Park is a short drive and is gorgeous for hiking and fishing. Josh and his people were very responsive if we needed anything at all. We would definitely come back.

Our stay at Green Maple was great, from the comfortable and inviting interior, large patio for family BBQ to the beautiful beachfront! We spent the days lounging on the beach, kayaking, paddle boarding or swimming and the evenings by the fire. And to top it all off a late night movie and popcorn… that’s camping in 2024. We made some great memories! Thanks for being such an amazing host! We will be back - hope to rent all three cabins for a family reunion!

Our stay at Josh’s cabin was absolutely incredible! He was an amazing host and accommodated some last-minute shuffling around to a different, more enjoyable space given the time of year and high water levels (really appreciated that). Even with not-so-great weather, we still had the most wonderful time, and the cabin is absolutely gorgeous inside (stunning architecture, well designed with thoughtful decor — simple and perfect)! It’s really a show-stopper when you walk inside. Too cold to enjoy the water, but we made the most of it by cooking outside on the BBQ and taking a walk with the dogs around the area. The walk to the store is super short, so if you’ve forgotten anything, they’ve got you covered. I would definitely stay again — renting out all three cabins would be a lot of fun! This place was 10/10 for me!

We loved staying at the cabin. It was very clean, exactly as described, and peaceful. The indoor fireplace and the outdoor BBQ worked well. Internet pretty fast too! Joshua responded quickly and was super helpful with check-in and finding everything. 10/10 — would definitely come again.

Our stay was truly exceptional. The design of the place was absolutely amazing and felt like something out of a movie set. The sound of the frozen lake added an extra touch of magic to the whole experience.Our host Joshua was an absolute gem. His welcoming personality and genuine kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. He was always ready to help. It was evident that for him, our safety and comfort were the top priorities, surpassing any financial considerations. Overall, our time here was nothing short of fantastic, and we can’t wait to visit again in the summer!

It was very peaceful. We enjoyed our time by the wood burning stove doing puzzles, eating charcuterie, making cocktails, and binge watching our favourite shows. It was very comfortable in the cabin.

Perfectly matched the advertised description and pictures. A lovely little cottage with beautiful surroundings. The cottage has everything that was advertised, thus we knew what to bring. Clean and comfortable. And Joshua was quick to respond with the one minor issue we had (which wasn’t even an issue, just us not being familiar with the operation of the the electrical toilet lol). We had a great little getaway, would love to see the place in the summer!

This beautiful spot was even better in person. The cabin was phenomenal and had everything you would need. Wake up to ducks swimming on the lake, on the stunning deck and the sound of the water at the perfect beach. We went kayaking around the lake with the kayaks provided and loved every second! What a gem this place is! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We had a very relaxing stay at the Black Bear cottage. The cottage was fully stocked and clear instructions in advance allowed me to pack anything else that we needed. Joshua and team were very concerned with ensuring that we had a great stay. This cottage has a beautiful view and provides privacy from the other cottages. Our dog loved it so much, she refused to leave!

Everything was more than what we imagined – I can’t think of anything that needs to be improved. If you have a pet and you want to have the best location, this is the place. I am not going to write everything – all I can say is try to stay here once and you will definitely want to go back again.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend here with our dog! The place was super clean and cozy. Check in and check out was a breeze and Joshua was extremely friendly and quick with replies whenever we had a question. We spent the whole day on the beach which was a perfect space for us to tan and the dog to run around on the sand. The campfire at nighttime created the perfect summer nights! Wouldn’t change a thing!

Wow wow wow! ✨ We had an absolutely amazing time at Josh’s cottage. We felt welcomed, the host answered all of our questions in a timely manner and allowed for a flexible check-in.The cottage is fully equipped, very clean, and perfect for the weekend get-away we were hoping for. The private beach access to the water was wonderful, our pups loved their time in the water. The kayaks were fun to use and allowed us to get in some outdoor time on the water. The check in and check out instructions were clear and easy to follow. The convenience store was a short walking distance and perfect for ice and last minute things we may have needed. We 10/10 recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a great getaway! We will be coming back for sure.Oh and bonus: the beds were comfortable!!!

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend. The cottage is adorable! Everything was exactly as advertised, with beautiful views and lots of space - inside and out. Joshua was easy to communicate with, and the “how to” manual is posted for quick reference. We will absolutely book again!

Perfect for girls weekend getaway. Beautiful cabin, everything is new and very clean. Joshua very responsive with messages. we got to meet during our stay, very kind and helpful. We had 5 women on our trip and could have fit another 3 comfortably if sharing a bed with your bestie works for you. Electric toilet is a pleasant surprise, no cold toilet seat is a nice treat.We had perfect weather for floating in water enjoying the sun. loved the kayaks. Perfect for a little getaway.

The Red Moose Cottage is a welcome retreat from the city for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The kitchen is well equipped including a large bbq and spacious deck with comfortable furniture for outdoor dining. The interior is beautifully designed with a calming colour scheme, and pine wood throughout. The fire pit is perfectly positioned for roasting marshmallows while watching the sunset. Joshua is a very friendly, responsive, and welcoming host. Thank you, Joshua, for the opportunity to enjoy your cozy cottage with spectacular lake views!

Big thanks to Joshua! The cabin was great, we had an awesome weekend. The small beach in front of the cabin is private but you feel safe because there are other cabins nearby. The area is so beautiful, we took the kayaks out on the lake! The cabin itself was so clean and cute, really love the design. Josh left helpful instructions and recommendations prior to the trip and also printouts of everything at the cabin just in case which was very helpful. Had a lovely time!!

Beautiful cozy cottage! We had a fun and relaxing week at the cottage for our honeymoon! Joshua was an awesome host! He was helpful and always responded within a few minutes after any message I sent. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and our dog Zeus booked our stay at Joshua’s and were super excited for a private, peaceful place to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. This place delivered! The cabin was beautifully placed overlooking the lake, with stunning views all day long – even from the door of the master bedroom downstairs.The space was spotless and had everything you need for a simple, yet comfortable stay. Very well-built, and the craftsmanship of the cottage itself is lovely. Love that you can climb the ladder to a loft with extra beds. There is a beach and a great size fire pit – the perfect place to make memories.You are very close to the neighbours’ cottage. Not a problem at all privacy-wise, but something to keep in mind if you have a pet or small children. They can easily see and hear them and may want to say hello!Would definitely book again 🙂

Fantastic little cabin! Hidden and private, the kayaking was amazing. The water is so beautiful with an amazing sunset. Eating breakfast while the sun rose with a cup of tea was beautiful!

Joshua could not have been nicer and more helpful. The cabin was very clean, well-supplied, and easy to use. Private, and picturesque, with a beautiful sunset every night. Highly recommended. Joshua, we will see you again!

Enjoyed a few nights at this newly built cabin with my partner and baby. Easily a comfortable fit for the 3 of us and could have accommodated a couple more without issue. Great, simple set-up, with a dedicated seating area outside for grilling, a well-equipped kitchen and right on the water‘s edge.

The Red Moose Lodge was a great & peaceful experience. The place was beautifully crafted and a perfect size for my partner and me. The view from the spacious deck overlooking the lake was spectacular and a great place to have meals while taking in the serene surroundings. Josh was also an amazing & responsive host. This is a great place for a relaxing nature getaway, we loved our time here!

What an incredible place… The view of the lake is absolutely spectacular. The cottage itself is very well designed. It is quite spacious and has everything you need for a vacation (shower, kitchen, internet, etc.). The patio is also quite nice – we were able to enjoy many BBQ and sunsets overlooking the private beach. Joshua is an amazing host; very responsive and friendly. We will definitely be back!
